The short version

Engineer Camera Pro is designed to be private. We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no developer-operated servers. Your photos, projects, notes, and settings live only on your device.

Data the app processes — on your device only

The app processes the following data locally on your device to provide its features. None of it is transmitted to us; we have no servers and no access to it.

You can delete any of this at any time by deleting photos/projects in the app or clearing the app's storage. Uninstalling the app removes its database and settings; photos saved to your gallery remain until you delete them.

Network access the app uses

The app has no backend of its own. It makes exactly two kinds of network requests, both strictly functional:

Reverse geocoding (address lookup). To print a street address in the watermark, the app passes coordinates to your device's built-in Android Geocoder service (provided by Google on most devices). This lookup is ephemeral: the coordinates are processed to return an address and are not stored by us. Google's handling of platform services is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. If you are offline, the app simply omits the address.
Map tiles (Photo Map screen). The map view downloads map imagery from OpenStreetMap tile servers. Tile requests necessarily include the map area you are viewing (like any map app) and your device's user agent. These requests are governed by the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy. Tiles are cached on-device so previously viewed areas work offline.

The app never uploads your photos, location history, or any other content.

Each permission is requested in context and every feature that can work without a permission does so gracefully (e.g., without location the watermark shows "NO GPS FIX").

Data sharing and selling

We do not share or sell any data — we never receive it in the first place. Photos leave your device only when you explicitly share or export them using the system share sheet or the export tools.

Children

Engineer Camera Pro is a professional tool intended for adults. It does not target children and collects no data from anyone.

Security

All app data is stored in Android's app-private storage and your device's media store, protected by your device's security. Photo integrity fingerprints (SHA-256) let you detect after-the-fact modification of any photo.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app changes any of the above (for example, adds an optional cloud backup), this policy will be updated before that version ships, with the effective date above revised.
